About Global Cargo Movers
The company began in 2008 from modest beginnings, with a mission centered on helping fellow Filipinos send balikbayan boxes to family members in the Philippines. Their focus from the start combined affordability with safety and security, aiming to give customers confidence throughout the shipping process. This dual priority has shaped the organization’s growth over the years.
The business has built a loyal customer base exceeding 15,000 clients along the East Coast, spanning states from Connecticut to Illinois. Their growth has been substantial, shipping more than 90,000 boxes in 2016 alone, with volumes continuing to increase since then. This expansion reflects steady trust built within the Filipino communities they serve.
Company currently serves customers across Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC, and Illinois. The organization has also expressed plans for further westward expansion, suggesting continued growth beyond their current service area. This regional focus has allowed them to build strong, community-based relationships with the families they serve.
The company holds licensing as both a consolidator and an NVOCC or freight forwarder, reflecting a level of professionalism built into their operations. Their team emphasizes treating every sender and receiver like family, recognizing the emotional significance that balikbayan boxes often carry for Filipino households separated by distance.
